| We are a Redmond based company who i s a leading provider of consulting, integration, and managed services, has an immediate opportunity for a Network/Systems Engineer. The Network Engineer will be responsible for participating in the design, planning, development and installation of client networks by evaluating current and future business requirements and finding technical solutions to enhance our clients' businesses. Duties will include creation of infrastructure design and on-going maintenance processes as well as providing both strategic and day-to-day technical expertise and support for assigned projects.
Requirements include:
- Well-developed technical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to create technical designs from business requirements
- Exceptional initiative and creativity in the development of technical solutions for complex situations.
- Project management skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years experience in Systems Administration/Engineering for a production IT environment
- MCSE 2000 or 2003 required, other certifications like CCNA, CCEA, etc. a definite advantage
- Hands on knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows NT-2003, Firewalls, and Router technologies
- Self discipline and motivation
- Experience with Active Directory, XP, Exchange 2003, SAN technologies, ISA Server, Citrix Presentation Server (MetaFrame), and Group Policies a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications a must
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Perform business needs assessments with client staff
- Create physical and logical network and Active Directory designs
- Plan detailed implementation processes for the installation or upgrade of client networks
- Perform simple and complex implementations including; servers, network equipment, SAN infrastructure, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, antivirus solutions, anti-spam solutions, Citrix Presentation Server or terminal server, VPN systems, power protection, and other equipment solutions required
- Maintain client relationships
- Advanced troubleshooting for server and network equipment
- Develop and implement business continuity plans to include disaster recovery procedures
- Create full documentation for client environment
- Perform security and performance assessments
